# Creating a World

## Creating a world&#x20;

1. Open the navigator by clicking on the `Navigator` item or by using the command:

/worlds
```

&#x20;  2\. Click on the chest icon to open the `World Navigator`.

If you cannot open the navigator, make sure you have the correct [permission](/permissions/bypass.md#open-the-navigator).

&#x20;  3\. Click on the `"+" skull` at the bottom of the navigator.

If you cannot see the item for creating a world, make sure you have to correct [permission](/permissions/bypass.md#create-a-world).

&#x20;  4\. Decide whether you want to create a **predefined** **world** or a [**template**](/getting-started/installing-buildsystem.md#installing-templates).

&#x20;  5\. Enter the name of the world you want to create into the chat

The world name cannot contain spaces, dots and special symbols

## Installing templates

1. Place the world folder you wish to use as a template in the `templates` directory in the `BuildSystem` directory.
